All about hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is used to treat people's phobias, anxiety and complexes, and can also contribute to modifying behaviour patterns. Hypnotherapy taps into the more unknown areas of the human conscience; with remarkable results seen over the last few years in surgery under hypnosis, replacing the general anaesthetic.
Hypnotherapy is the production of a trance-like state in which suggestions are made to help to reduce anxiety or change behaviour patterns.
You've surely heard of hypnosis, that half-awake state in which a person can be influenced quite completely. But how does it work and what can it be used for?
While still very mysterious, over the last decade hypnosis has been used in surgical departments in the place of general anaesthetic, as confirms by Prof. Marie-Elisabeth Faymonville of Liege Teaching Hospital during the World Anaesthesiology Congress.
